Anderson & Rust

The Anderson & Rust Story

Judith Anderson founded Anderson & Rust Consulting in 1991. She and partner Jim Rust successfully answered "nuts and bolts" analytical questions for manufactures and retailers, like:

  • How many warehouses should we have, and where should they be located?
  • How many bakeries do we need to satisfy our fast food outlets, and where should they be located?

By 1994, they were tackling increasingly sophisticated optimization challenges like:

  • How do we reduce our Supply Chain costs by 30%
  • How do we measure the quality of our customer service across numerous divisions?
  • How do we reduce production time?
  • How do we route shipments to lower cost and optimize customer service?

In the mid 1990's, A&R Consulting was asked by existing partner-clients to extend its facilitation and problem solving capabilities into other areas and adress issues like:

  • How do internal customers view this Center of Excellence?
  • What were the lessons learned from this product roll out?
  • How do we develop better relationships with our vendors and external customers?
  • How do we improve our relationships with regulatory agencies?
  • How do we get these tough issues out on the table?

As A&R Consulting continued to work with internal client teams to resolve questions that blended both analytical and people skills, we saw an opportunity to enhance our own expertise in Change Management, Teamwork and Collaboration. In 1999, Judith Anderson added a Masters Degree in Psychology to her analytical capabilities, and initiated collaboration with several partners holding psychology degrees, including Tom Dyer, and Peggy Nagae. Judith and Tom developed the highly effective ETC! Goal Acceleration and Quantum Leadership programs.

Jennifer Dolan, M.B.A., who started with A&R Consulting in the accounting area in 1993, added a Masters Degree in Psychology and assumed a new role with the firm. A&R's analytic work expanded as we answered client questions including: What headcount do we require to efficienitly perform the work we are being asked to do. A&R's analytical experience with operational "nuts and bolts" experience, provided a pragmatic and knowledgable  element to our Change Management initiatives.

In the late 1990's, productivity improvements from A&R's Coaching, Goal Acceleration, and Collaboration programs escalated exponentially and A&R has continued to add to its capabilities in these areas. Publication of The Path to Corporate Nirvana, Silver Falls Press, 2003, brought new attention to A&R's work. Recently, exciting and complex challenges in the area of "People / Culture" have included:

  • How can executives facilitate management teams going to "the next level" in order to capitalize on opportunities in the marketplace?
  • How can big Pharma and Biotech companies collaborate to more effectively co-market a product?
  • How can functional areas like marketing, sales, medical, logistics, and analytics collaborate more effectively to reach shared goals?
  • How can global teams with vastly different cultures work more effectively and harmoniously?
  • How can matrix organizations forge deep bonds of collaboration where distrust has previously existed?

We are pleased to welcome a growing list of associates, including most recently, George Fleming, an experienced faciliator and coach, and deeply cherish our bonds with our client-partners. We look for the opportunity to welcome you aboard as story continues to unfold and we co-create together!
