James Rust and Judith Anderson have been associated since 1991. In addition to a long career in management consulting, Dr. Rust brings an extraordinary high level of expertise in quantitative analysis and mathematical modeling to the service of Anderson & Rust’s clients. For more than 25 years, he has specialized in applying quantitative analysis, mathematical modeling, and graphical representation skills to a broad range of corporate management challenges. With his highly specialized training, James Rust achieves remarkable results in record time for clients in the areas of logistics and transportation, strategic planning, economic analysis, forecasting, production and operations, and operations research.
Prior to Anderson & Rust, Dr. Rust worked with the management consulting firms of A. T. Kearney, Caywood-Schiller, and Lester B. Knight. In 1980, Mr. Rust established his own practice, specializing in applying mathematical modeling to logistics and the use of graphics to analyze problems. He also has experience in the international arena, particularly France and Germany, and has worked with a variety of major companies, including AT&T, GM, and Walgreens, as well as many smaller firms in a wide range of industries. James Rust did graduate studies at the University of Frankfurt, Germany, and earned a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Chicago in 1966. He received a B.A. in mathematics from Harvard in 1961. Dr. Rust has also achieved the highest level of recognition in production and inventory control and is certified at the Fellow Level with the APICS. He resides in the Chicago area and has two grown children.
